dc.description.abstractThis study was about the effect of community participation on the quality of service delivery of primary education in Afgoye district. The study was based on three objectives, those are: To assess the effect of community provision of instructional on the quality of service delivery of primary education in Afgoye district, to examine the role of parents involvement in education of their children on the quality of service delivery of primary education in Afgoye district, to examine the effect of community contribution in school construction on the quality of service delivery of primary education in Afgoye district. The researcher constructed a conceptual frame work in order to guide the study. The study adopted a case study research design and both qualitative and quantitative approaches were used. Sample of 210 respondents were given interview questionnaires. Census and simple random samplings were used in selecting respondents. Questionnaires were used to gather data. In order to determine the contribution of community participation on the quality of service delivery of primary education, descriptive statistics, Pearson Correlation and Regression were employed. Data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) for stepwise method. As regards the effect of community participation on the quality of service delivery of primary education in Afgoye district. The finding of the study revealed that the instructional materials have significant relationship with quality of primary education. Based on the result of the study, it was found that, first, instructional materials has a strong and positive significant relationship with the quality of primary education, instructional materials is the major predictor factor to the quality of primary education in Afgoye district because[r²= .965] which can be translated into 96.5%. Secondly, parent’s involvement has significant relationship with quality of primary education, parent’s involvement is the, because [r²=.986] which can be translated into 98.6%, but it is totally excluded as a predictor in contribution to the dependent variable which is quality of primary education. Finally, school construction has a strong and positive relationship with the quality of primary education but it is totally excluded as a predictor in contribution to the dependent variable which is quality of primary education. The 2 researcher recommended that instructional materials are the major predictor of relationship between community participation in delivery of primary education in Afgoye district and it is 100% significance. So that, the researcher recommends that Afgoye community must concentrate instructional materials. If there is any resource or effort to develop primary education, they should be directed towards addressing instructional materialsen_US
